The Box on 5th invites you to enter the mind of Artist Vince Kral via his first solo exhibition dubbed FanAddict. Upon stepping through the door you will be whisked away to galaxies far far away, experience costumes, characters, moving images and sounds that are blended from American Popular culture phenomena from Cinema, Rock Music, and Vince’s constant struggle to insert himself and his many personas into the Limelight. Vince Kral is a local artist that have been exhibiting his work here in Florida, Baltimore, Chicago, and West Virginia, he is also the mastermind behind the So You Think You Can Paint Competitions that have taken place in the bay area and beyond.
In conjunction with Vince’s exhibit Blue Bird Books will have a plethora of books on hand curated by Mitzi Gordon that match the spirit and mission of Vince’s work, some of the books will be from Vince’s own library!
Join Vince on October 5th for the opening reception, it is the perfect excuse to bust out your Halloween costume and take it for a test drive, the first twenty guest to arrive in any costume will receive a free t-shirt!
Can’t make it out on the 5th? No problem the show will be up for the entire month of October and gallery visits can arranged by appointment, Vince will do his best to be available on weekends and in the evenings to meet and chat with any interested parties.
Vince will also host an after party for the Open Source Zombie film fest Halloween night at the Ybor Muvico that starts at 7:30pm after which Anakin Vince Halen will lead an Army of the Undead down to that after party at the Box on 5th at 10pm.
